Our goals at freeCodeCamp Riverside are to provide members with the opportunity to network and contribute to open source projects. Through networking, members are able to build bonds with other developers and form groups to work on projects together. Our community supports and encourages members to work together on team projects in order to gain familiarity with working in a team environment, while also gaining hands-on experience. freeCodeCamp Riverside welcomes all levels of experience, from new to seasoned programmers.
Having a well-established network is essential to achieving goals, such as landing a job or building a large project. Here at freeCodeCamp Riverside we provide members with an environment that allows them to meet other developers. Our community holds meetups in the Riverside area to provide members with the opportunity to build connections with fellow coders. The community is also on Slack for those members that are not able to attend the meetups.
As programmers we are life-long learners, so we will always be looking to gain more experience. One of the best ways to learn is through hands-on experience. A goal of ours at freeCodeCamp Riverside is to encourage members to share ideas and build projects with other developers. Through group projects members are able to solidify their understanding of programming concepts by taking those concepts and applying it into real life applications.
